How to use it? In any way, except eating the whole bean. You can for example grate a small portion of it with a grater, or turn it into powder using a mill, a sharp knife or a mortar.
Use tonka with caution, its aromatic power is strong. In fact, a single tonka bean is usually used 2 to 5 times.
